How to Report Incidents and Road Hazards

You can help keep other drivers informed by submitting real-time reports directly through the MapQuest app during navigation.

Note: The incident reporting feature is only available while actively navigating a route.

How to Submit a Report

1. Open Report Menu: While following turn-by-turn navigation, tap the Report icon (a yellow hazard triangle with a plus sign △+) located on the right side of the screen.

    

2. Select Category: On the "What do you see?" screen, choose the category that best describes the issue:

   • Traffic

   • Closure

   • Police

   • Hazard

   • Crash

   • Other

      

3. Specify Details: Each category will present specific sub-options related to your request type so you can provide more precise details.

    

4. Send Alert: Once you have selected the specific incident type, tap the green Send button to submit your report and alert fellow drivers along the route.
