This guide shows you how to claim your business listing on MapQuest.com and make edits yourself — no need to email support.
Prerequisites
- Your business already has a listing visible on MapQuest.com
- You are the business owner, or have explicit permission from the owner to manage the listing
- A valid email address to sign in with
- A payment method, if you choose to subscribe to MapQuest for Business (see below)
1. Find your business listing
Search for your business on MapQuest.com and open its listing page.
2. Click "See a problem?"
In the left-hand panel of the listing, click See a problem?, then click Let us know.
3. Log in with your email
Sign in using your email address.
4. Attest your relationship to the business
Confirm that you're the business owner or have explicit permission from the owner to manage the listing.
5. Confirm the listing URL
You'll be asked to confirm the URL of the listing you're looking to edit. This is a safeguard to make sure edits are applied to the correct business.
6. Confirm your listing and subscribe on the "Own how you show up" page
This page shows your business listing alongside what you'll be able to manage as a verified owner:
- Name, address, phone, & hours — edits go live on the map instantly
- Description, offers, & website
- Search & AI visibility (coming soon)
- Photos & reviews (coming soon)
Check the box confirming you're the owner (or have permission), then click Claim & manage listing. Claiming and editing your listing requires a paid MapQuest for Business subscription, billed annually at $12.50/month. This is a self-service subscription — no sales call or support ticket needed.
7. Submit your payment details
After clicking Claim & manage listing, enter your payment details to complete the subscription.
8. Edit your listing
Once payment is submitted, you'll be taken to an editing page where you can update your listing's attributes directly.
Verify It Worked
Once subscribed, changes to your core listing info (name, address, phone, hours) go live on the map immediately — no waiting for review.
Common Issues
- Not the business owner? You can still flag incorrect info for free — no subscription required. Use Report an issue on the listing page.
- Personal information showing on your listing? Use Remove personal info on the listing page — this is also always free.
