We've been listening to your feedback and have been hard at work over here to make your requests a reality. So, what's new on the MapQuest App for iOS? A lot!
My Maps
At long last, My Maps are finally here for iOS! We received countless requests for this feature and are so excited to announce the wait is over. You can now log in to your MapQuest account via the mobile app, and access previously saved My Maps while you are mobile!
You will also notice the "GoTo" button has been renamed "Favorites" and now contains both your favorites as well as your saved home and work addresses, and there is also a new tab in this section for "My Maps".
To log in and out of your account, click the "3 bars" icon in the top left hand corner of the app, or log in via the "My Maps" tab.
If you add, delete, or edit any My Maps from within your account on MapQuest.com, press the "refresh list" button within the My Maps tab to download all of your most up to date maps.
My Maps can also be shared directly through the app by swiping to the left on the map you want to share.
Favorites
If you swipe a saved favorite to the left, you can now share or delete the favorite.
Clicking on a favorite now opens an info sheet which allows you to unfavorite, share, or get walking or driving directions.
New Map Styles
Another new feature we've added is the ability to change the map style that displays during your session. The default day/night automatic style will change automatically depending on time of day. You also have the option of toggling on the daytime map style, night time map style, or satellite mode map style indefinitely.
