Voice navigation isn't working (Android)

We want to get you where you need to go safely, and if you're not hearing your voice navigation we can help with that!

The first things to check are your volume settings. Please double check that the app's volume settings are set to loud (settings located in the bottom right-hand corner of the navigation screen), and that your phone's general volume settings are not muted and are on high.

If your volume settings look correct, you may need to force shut down your MapQuest app and reload it. To do that:

  1. Swipe Navigation: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold briefly to see your recent apps.
  2. Button Navigation: Tap the Square or Three Vertical Lines icon at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Action: Swipe the app card up or to the side (depending on your model) to close it. Tap Clear All or Close All to shut down everything at once
