Most Android devices will allow you to review and manage both the location permissions for your device and for any individual apps by opening the main Settings app on your device and choosing "Location." With most Android devices you'll have to choose what kind of Location mode to enable on your device. For MapQuest to work best, you'll want to avoid using "Device only" mode, as this relies solely on the GPS in your device and does not use cellular and/or Wi-Fi data to assist in accurately locating you for navigation.
For the best MapQuest experience on your device, try using either "High accuracy" or "Battery saving" mode, both of which may use cellular and Wi-Fi data to locate you as accurately as possible.
The steps to enable and manage your device's location settings can vary slightly with all of the different Android devices out there, but the following Google help article includes location mode instructions for your most common Android devices and for individual apps on most Androids: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6179507?hl=en
