MapQuest now offers you the ability to get directions for driving, transit (available only in select areas) or walking.

How to Get Directions
- Click on Get Directions from the left-hand side panel. This will create a second search box.
- Enter your started location in the top or ‘A’ search box and enter your ending location in the ‘B’ search box. You may enter an address as a single line including the address, street, city, state and/or zip code.
- Select the type of directions you would like by clicking on either the car, transit or walking icon located above the starting search box. The active icon will be highlighted.
- Click on the Get Directions button when you are ready to view your directions.
- Your directions will display on the left-hand side panel and your route will appear on the map on the right.
If you would like to add additional stops to your route, simply click on the Add Stop link and an additional search box will appear.
Tips:
- You may also get directions by entering a business name or category. Available results will appear in the left-hand side panel.
- Optimize your route by shortest time or distance and select avoid options under Driving Options.
- Click and drag the location markers next to each search box to rearrange your route.
- Reverse your route by clicking on the Reverse link located under the search boxes.
- When available alternate or Suggested Routes are listed when you get directions.
- Click and drag the route line to manually adjust your route.
